Toll booth
paper
In the multisim the inputs control the D inputs to the flip flops which controls when they flip to the next state. The outputs of the flip flop are converted to control the motor and lights. The process we are simulating is a tollbooth gate opening and closing with the motor stopping when it is detected it is completely open or closed.
conclusion
The design process the design process was done by creating a truth table to show the inputs and the desired outputs.
Another part of the design process was to design a circuit which will be implemented into the breadboard which would be connected to the tollbooth.
One mistake that we made was placing the limits switches in the wrong place so that the tollbooth would go way too far down.
Major components we used in our design were a state machine and the vex kit. This project is similar in the way we needed
to design a state machine with different by how we needed to incorporate it to a physical process. I learned how to match the schematic
to the parts needed to build it. Yes it was easier to build this at the end of the year versus the beginning. I would better organize the multisim if I were to do it again.
